Journal Entry. 3rd of August, 2026. 3:14 Early Morning. A s my life draweth nearer its close, and the end appears more real than it did in the days of my strength, I find that every part of my life is being quietly altered. My prayers have passed from the continual presentation of my needs unto seasons of stillness, speechless wonder, and holy awe before the God of heaven and earth. The early hours of the morning have become at once the sweetest seasons of communion and the sharpest hours of spiritual conflict. There are few duties against which Satan directs himself with greater malice than prayer. He knoweth well that, when a believer is brought low before God, heaven is pleased to accomplish what all the powers of earth and hell cannot withstand. It is no wonder, then, that he labours with such unwearied diligence to distract, discourage, and weary the soul before it hath well begun to pray. The flesh would have me turn mine eyes unto anything rather than the Word of God, and fill m...

One February Evening

Image
February 12 recording, Ezekiel Chapter 2: 1  And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.  2  And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.  3  And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.  4  For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.  5  And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.  6  And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be ...

Song of Solomon Chapter 1

Image

The Last Week of August

Image
After the patient space of one full year dedicated to the humble discipline of Family Worship, it hath now pleased the LORD to mercifully birth the reading of the Holy Scripture into four new households this year. This is a visible testament to the Sovereign’s pleasure! Our own young ones, having been diligently instructed in this sacred practice, have carried the custom learned in our home directly into their respective dwellings. With a commendable zeal, they now intentionally read the Scriptures to their own unbelieving families—a work of bold, spontaneous evangelism. A visible stirring is already observed amongst those who have heard the Living Word thus plainly read. The very heartbeat of this ministry in the home is to magnify the reality of God's great glory as the Scriptures are opened and the Psalms are either read or sung—and by the whole family participating in unison. The precious fruit of all this labor, however, is not presumed by us, but is dutifully left to God’s ow...

Our Family Worship Channel

Image
We are opening our channel to everyone who find joy in the worship of God. The only requirement is a humble heart. Join us without any obligation, and start the worship of God in your own homes. Here is our Telegram link . Photo Credit Our daily Family Worship with the whole church, consistently upheld by LORD, is now on its 15th month. Every 9:30 in the evening, Monday to Sunday, the church gathers to read Scripture, share thoughts, and sing/read the Psalmody to the LORD. What started off as a 15-minute family covenant quickly spread like fire among the saints, with worship going for as long as 45 minutes to an hour. Some of the children have also started an afternoon family worship for those who work the night shift. It so pleased the Lord to birth the reading of scripture in one of the homes of a dear saint where she reads with her parents and sibling who are unbelievers, but now look forward to the reading of scripture. Truly if we have great joy in honoring the Lord, he will give...

The Weekly Liturgy

Image
The most useful books for the whole week that compose the Sunday liturgy, with the family worship guide being used daily, 7 days a week. We keep the services 2 hours short, with an hour of close fellowship prior to start. An hour dedicated to prayer, worship, catechism, and Scripture reading - before the message. Ending in songs from the Westminster Scottish Psalter, and another hour of fellowship. God has tremendously blessed the dear ones by instilling a greater awareness of sin, and a deeper reverence for His commands, especially the seriousness of Lord's day, by which most of them have stood firm against much opposition and ridicule from employers, and even from their own families. The fruit of God's faithfulness shone through when I spoke with one of the young ones, "Should God gift me with my own family, we will dedicate every night to worshipping the Lord. From my children and to my grandchildren." Each one of them share the same sentiment. What a blessed work...

The Kingdom Of God Belong To Such As These

Image
We have now been faithfully waiting upon the LORD since being sovereignly placed within this very location during the first month of the year two thousand twenty. For many years we pondered, wondering yet how it was possible to lift up Christ's banner with utter reliance upon no earthly resources or human support, save for the unshakable fidelity of God alone! Since the commencement of our nightly series of Bible study, He has been pleased to bless the work not merely with the addition of precious souls, but, more vitally, with the right and clear direction as to how we must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. For us, it is a matter of no import whatsoever to begin a work, however zealous, that is falsely named for Christ, if that work be not in strict accordance with His Divine prescription. From the solemn lesson of Nadab and Abihu, the Almighty hath plainly revealed how He must be approached and how He is to be worshipped .  We would not have learned about the beautiful practice...

Be Thou My Vision

Image
As the daily worship of God has become the primary point of our small gathering, more than the weekly gathering, so the need to properly align ourselves with scriptural truths becomes primary. God has given us His very own prescriptions on how to worship Him and enjoy ourselves in rendering it; this book aims to compile portions of them. "Every Christian knows the importance of a daily quiet time with the Lord. But anyone who’s been a believer long enough has likely experienced seasons that feel more mundane or routine, leading to aimlessly skimming a couple of Bible verses or praying the same prayer over and over." "In Be Thou My Vision, Jonathan Gibson has created a 31-day liturgical guide designed to provide structure to the daily worship of individuals and families. Each daily reading includes a call to worship, adoration, confession, assurance, creed and catechism, the Gloria Patri, a prayer of illumination, Bible reading, intercessory prayer, and the Lord’s Prayer....

Worship Part 2

A journal entry.  One of the midnight watches on the first week of June. A continuation of my study on Worship. I can find no verse in Scripture wherein people worshipped God sitting down. Absolutely none. What I have read are people falling down to the earth on their faces before God. Yes, even devils did the same. It irritates me that not only have the very children of God lost reverence for the presence of God, they defend the omission, stating that it is outmoded, legalistic, and irrelevant in our day. It can be safely said that people who do so and say so, know only about God, but they have yet to be in the presence of God. To be in the presence of God and discard utmost reverence I cannot understand. We sing about salvation, about blessings, and yes we say long prayers for food and the commencement of any service, but we do not believe we come into the presence of this thrice Holy God when we pray. Just as breathing is the natural reaction of our lungs to air, so worsh...

Worship Part 1

A journal entry. Late eve of the first week of May. A study on Worship.  I have come up against much opposition both in mind and in spirit when I set my heart to seek the Lord this past month. Moreover pertaining to that sin in the mind that I cursed myself with through my previous ways before I was given life by the Lord. The same despondency forced me to spend long nights away from the comforts of my bed, away from my wife, and instead lie prostrate on the floor with heaviness of heart. Not uttering a word of prayer or request, but desperately beating my mind into submission as the good apostle did say about his body; I struggled in anguish to do nothing and think nothing, but worship before my God. This year has led me to spend more and more time alone in secret prayer, not to say that I have achieved much in doing so, but the more I did, the more God seemed to be farther away. The more I followed him, the more he led me out into the wilderness. The more I called out to him...
