If I speak in the eloquence of men and tongues of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  And if I have a prophet's power, and have knowledge of all secret things; and if I have all faith, by which mountains may be moved from their place, but have not love, I am nothing. And if I give all my goods to the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it is of no profit to me. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3  Modern Christians tend to cling to works, whether they are aware of it or not. They think that accomplishments in the LORD's name is the measure of faith. But the people who did much for the LORD were the very same ones whom God rejected in the end. Matthew 7.21   You can do all good without loving God. But you cannot love God without doing good to all. You can also claim that the reason for all you do is because you love God. Indeed, Christianity is full of such empty songs and boastings. But loving God prohibits you from choosing who to

Open Doors

The LORD sent us funds to build this small greenhouse in a blank portion of the field beside our house that is wasted and unused space. The goal is to improve the neighborhood, by offering a cheaper food source, and hopefully introduce hydroponic culture to the people. One particular family we have been ministering to can possibly acquire additional income from this. It took us almost two weeks to build on our own (to save labor costs) , and ensure it is sturdy enough to withstand constant heavy downpour. We have yet to see how it holds up against a storm. So far, this is only the beginning of a planned expansion of sorts, to output at the most 500 vegetable heads per week. At least that's what the plan is. But we are still studying the craft. We will also be offering our neighbors free Fire Trees to whoever wants one. I dream of someday walking our roads lined with multi-colored flowering trees. As of late, I have almost 15 fire trees ready to be given away. We also have two  Pala

Much Time Should Be Given to Prayer The great masters and teachers in Christian doctrine have always found in prayer their highest source of illumination. Not to go beyond the limits of the English Church, it is recorded of Bishop Andrews that he spent five hours daily on his knees. The greatest practical resolves that have enriched and beautified human life in Christian times have been arrived at in prayer.  -Canon Liddon Much time spent with God is the secret of all successful praying.      While many private prayers, in the nature of things, must be short; while public prayers, as a rule, ought to be short and condensed; while there is ample room for and value put on ejaculatory prayer -- yet in our private communions with God time is a feature essential to its value. Much time spent with God is the secret of all successful praying. Prayer which is felt as a mighty force is the mediate or immediate product of much time spent with God. Our short prayers owe their point and efficiency

Neglect And Omissions

Those great preachers, whose names we remember, were men who counted nothing their own. They were driven out from their benefices, because they could not conform to the Established Church, and they gave up all they had willingly to the Lord. They were hunted from place to place ... they wandered here and there to preach the gospel to a few poor sheep, being fully given up to their Lord. Those were foul times; but they promised they would walk the road fair or foul, and they did walk it knee-deep in mud; and they would have walked it if it had been knee-deep in blood too.  ~ Charles Spurgeon How many of the dear children of God are crying for bread ? (for the powerful preaching of the word amongst them) and there is no bread to be given them, nor the pleasant voice of their faithful ministers to be heard amongst them ; and they are left to lament over their silenced ministers, as King Joash wept over the dying prophet, 2 Kings 13. 14 . "O my father, my father, the chariot of Israe

While There Is Time

John 9:4  I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work. We have been led to focus our biblical studies in instilling the grave seriousness of the gospel in the mindset of the class, and encouraging everyone towards actual practical application in the real world. Not for spur of the moment outreaches borne out of the need for human applause, like vapors that preach today and are silent tomorrow, but a life worthy of godly recommendation from the heavens. To be doers, not simply hearers. To obey, not simply to affirm. To be separate from dead religion. And if need be offer our lives literally as sacrifices on the altar for Christ's great cause. To remain amazed and awed every single day at God's wondrous grace and salvation. The opportunity to work in the vineyard will not always remain open at our discretion. To despise it, is to take God Himself in vain. Psalm 71:16-18  With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come; I w
