The Futility Of Religion

Excerpts from our previous public pleading.  The LORD do as it seemeth good to Him.

Approaching The Bottleneck Of Time

Image
We have a very small window of opportunity before God finally closes the gospel to the world, and allows those in power to shut it out of the society that treats it with mockery and apathy, and despises it. Amidst the deception and diversion that is this worldwide lockdown, we are under obligation as light bearers to burn out for God to the end. You still get something even after scraping the bottom of the barrel. No breath used to lift up Christ goes to waste. The only waste will be the opportunities we allowed to hold us back, and at such a critical time as this. The last fruits of the vineyard are being harvested all over the world. We cannot afford to stand back after spending the day laboring and say, 'I have done my part, now I can rest and watch while the others do their part.' No. If the LORD tarries still then we would have wasted precious time that could have been put to good use in the vineyard. To presume he has done enough will prove to be the costly mist

God Multiplies

Two days after our first outreach the LORD moved three dear fellow believers in the U.S. to send us help. In a touching gesture of kindness insisting that we prioritize purchasing the medication we need, and the rest, we were free to use as we please. Such a timely gift, as medicine for our son's epilepsy, was down to the last few tablets. God made sure we were enabled to buy two week's worth of medication. And finally, to accomplish our original plan to include some mothers in our church in the giveaways. But the very next day our local government distributed relief goods to the entire community (it does not include our area) , which were more expensive than the meager items we planned to give. We admit having been disheartened when we saw how simple our packages were compared to what they received. And so we opted to give only on a per need basis to our neighbors instead since the people on our side of the wall do not enjoy the same privileges as those who are regist

The Free Fields

I was making up all sorts of petty excuses not to go. It was past 9AM and the sun was scorching hot this morning. I lay on the bed blank and waiting for nothing. But then a flash of people's faces pushed me to get up and prepare. My feet had a mind of their own and in a short time, I was already heading out the gate with just a small water bottle for sustenance. I had not taken breakfast yet, but my soul was reaching towards the spirit's desire.  Another total lockdown has been declared effective today, but nevermind doctor's orders. The Gospel has to come out. Would I think differently if I knew the LORD would be coming this afternoon? I walked down the dirt road and turned towards the entrance leading to the fields. It has been in my mind this past week to stand in the fields just outside the boundary wall of St. Martha instead of inside its narrow streets, where the megaphone would probably annoy more people than admonish them. I turned on my GPS and walked over a h

Poblacion, Bulacan

Quarantine. Week four. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays are the only allotted days that people from our area can go out. But the security is slowly slacking off and the checkpoints that previously lined up every kilometer or so have disappeared. I realized that I had not been mindful of this portion of our town in the past, and concentrated my efforts solely in another town proper, which is Santa Maria. My frequent errands in the past weeks, constrained me only to move about inside my town proper, this seemingly unfortunate turn of events has opened an opportunity for me to proclaim the Gospel instead here. Our last public pleading was fifteen days ago, also inside the town proper in Marilao; an area wherein I personally have never ministered in, but the church has. Poblacion is another place where the true gospel has never been raised before. There was a long queue of about 70 or so idle people waiting in line for the money changers to open at 8:30AM, which gave me an hour and

God Recompenses

We have taken money for our previous rice pack outreach to the families in our small neighborhood out of the downpayment I received working on a small indie project in the states. This project was timely sustenance in our current situation. It was already hard on us to have to maintain medication for my son without having the means to, but we believed that the only way for us to be able to meet our needs was not to think of it but instead to place the furtherance of God's kingdom first in our priorities above our needs, and He will do the rest. (Matthew 6:31-33) Two days after the outreach, God faithfully moved certain people in the U.S., souls dearly written in my prayer list for more than three years now, to send us help and sustenance. For years now we have always desired to see the hand of God more clearly in our times of great need in spite of our weak faith, and we have learned that seeing the hand of God move far outweigh the value of the help that comes with it.
