The Public Reading of God's Word

Image
I do not participate in missions or evangelizing the lost because:  A.      It's only for pastors and ministers. If they don't do it, I don't do it. B.     Only when the church does it. C.      I don't believe in God, damnation, or the bible. D.      I'd never embarrass myself like that. E.      I have more important things to do. F.    I don't believe it's worth letting people know what God says. G.   I don't want to offend people. H.      I'm already a Christian. I.      I can't read. J.      Other excuses. Pick one of the excuses above and memorize it for judgment day. It's only impossible for people who say it is. If you truly know God, the greatest sacrifice is the least you can do. There is no other gospel that saves but the gospel of Jesus Christ. There are no other people to do it but you. Don't wait till you're called. The command has already been given 2000 years ago. If you wait till you're ready, you will never

Library Additions

These are the books I was gifted with, along with the growing hand-bound prints I already have. It has been a long standing wish of mine to build a library. But they're stashed in a chest hidden away. I have a library of books indeed. All I need now is an actual library to put all of them in.   In the order that they were received. Spurgeon's Practical Wisdom by C.H. Spurgeon It has sometimes been said that Christians are ‘too heavenly minded to be of any earthly use’. While that may apply to some, it could never be said of Charles Haddon Spurgeon. Spurgeon combined heavenly mindedness with zeal to improve the lot of ordinary people. At the height of his ministry there were dozens of enterprises associated with his Metropolitan Tabernacle that served the spiritual and practical needs of men and women, boys and girls.    Although Spurgeon is best remembered as a gospel preacher, he was also a gifted writer. Under the not so well disguised pseudonym of ‘john Ploughm

Kim's 1st Public Proclamation

Image
Our dear Kim traveled all the way from Bicol to finally meet with the church and engage in her first outreach and public reading of scripture. We have been talking about her stay with us since April, and however short her 3 day stay may have been, may the LORD cause it to bear fruit, and use her life as she returns to Bicol. The place where she lives is a dark place. There are no biblical churches there except for the two predominant typical cults: the Roman Catholic "church" and the infamous Iglesia ni Cristo. Only the LORD knows what fire this small spark would start. May He be pleased to do so for His name's sake.

Come Evening

Image
We elected to commence public ministry today come evening when based on previous labors, the crowd is thicker at this time. But the clouds also came in dark and brooding. So after making the rounds and talking with some people who received our tracts we proceeded to borrow the stand on a closed rice store. This is Rendelle and Jonathan's first public outreach and they were more than excited to take part; coming in early to our house and talk about what to expect, and how to approach people. These young lambs have a child-like stand on the LORD. Being prepared earlier in life for our meeting, they have had experiences with modern Christendom, but in God's mercy have been placed in the right road of biblical doctrine and practical Christianity. Our tracts flew off our hands in no time due to the great number of souls who welcomed our gifts. I only had one decline my offer, and it was a well-off woman. It was no surprise to me that only the simple ones do accept tract
