The Father of the fatherless

Image
Father doth bless the work by turning the ministry of the Children’s Church in a more experiential direction: seeking to implant in the little ones a consciousness of the deep, humbling reality of the heart’s corruption, even in their tender years. We are forced, hourly, to acknowledge that we are totally inadequate to communicate the glorious salvation of Christ with the requisite power, and thus we know that our strength and help cometh from the LORD alone! We grieve to report that the cruel affliction of molested children is lamentably common in this locality—a silent plague where, tragically, the parents and immediate relatives are often found to be the heinous offenders. With fear and trembling, we taught the children that their innocent bodies were a gift bestowed by the Lord to be theirs alone, and that no other person, save their own mothers in needful instances, should touch or gaze upon them in parts that ought to be private. They were given solemn warnings to be keenly aware...

Second Meeting

Image
I testify that each public pleading proves fruitful, most especially for this old soul whose earthly light now draws quite near to its close. Though this poor body may have been wasted away by years and ailments, the Lord has, in His tender kindness, gifted me with a simple, child-like understanding of His precious truths. It is always a profound and singular joy to recommend the boundless mercies of Christ to an ear that is made ready by the Spirit. And I have found that to include the beginnings of redemptive history—to show how God's plan unfolds from Eden to Calvary—is quite a tremendous help in framing the Gospel aright, giving the hearer a firm foundation upon which to stand. I thank God that He permits me to labor even until the evening of my days.

He Cares For His Sheep

Image
Last week, following a decision made in humility, we secured the service of a good lady to assist with the cleansing of our shop and our household, which, by a gracious and special providence, did immediately lead to my own queen sharing the precious light of the Gospel with her. We learned with heavy hearts the distress of her domestic circumstances. She dwells with her husband in a meager unit within the neighboring village, sharing the roof not only with her aged parents, but with five other souls—nine individuals are thus confined within a house clearly fit for only two. And yet, the burden upon this small dwelling is further compounded! For the tenth occupant is a young woman of but twenty-one years, who resides there as the lesbian lover of the lady's own daughter, a girl still but fifteen years of age. This grievous moral trespass, resting upon the heavy affliction of their poverty, adds profoundly to the load. Truly, the darkness of this world presses heavily upon the do...

The Kingdom Of God Belong To Such As These

Image
We have now been faithfully waiting upon the LORD since being sovereignly placed within this very location during the first month of the year two thousand twenty. For many years we pondered, wondering yet how it was possible to lift up Christ's banner with utter reliance upon no earthly resources or human support, save for the unshakable fidelity of God alone! Since the commencement of our nightly series of Bible study, He has been pleased to bless the work not merely with the addition of precious souls, but, more vitally, with the right and clear direction as to how we must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. For us, it is a matter of no import whatsoever to begin a work, however zealous, that is falsely named for Christ, if that work be not in strict accordance with His Divine prescription. From the solemn lesson of Nadab and Abihu, the Almighty hath plainly revealed how He must be approached and how He is to be worshipped .  We would not have learned about the beautiful practice...

Lolo Willie

Image
Our new teacher, Grandpa Willie ( Lolo Willie ) has appeared three times now assisting in teaching the children regarding questions on the New City Catechism. The children are reportedly more excited now than ever to attend each session, typically lasting 30 minutes, which includes a short overview of major stories in the bible. Since their families do not open the bible in their homes, it is good that we are enabled to assist the children by presenting the bible to them in its proper context and in a biblical fashion, emphasizing that the Word of God holds supreme authority above all.  We are currently in the Old Testament. We have included simple typology, to show Christ in every story. After this, we move on to the questions and answers of catechism consisting of 51 important subjects of the faith. It gives us great joy every time we hear the children answer past questions on their own, declaring "we are not our own but belong to God." Lastly, the children recite the 10 c...

Teaching God's Commandments To Children

Image
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. Deuteronomy 6:7-9 Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Matthew 10:14 We believe in the eternality of the Law (Matthew 5:18) . We also understand that the Law was not given as a means to righteousness before God (Romans 3:20, 10:3, Acts 13:39) but as a rule for living (Romans 7:10) as established by God. Adam by sin forfeited the benefits of the covenant of works (Genesis 1:28) , and instead earned its curses (Genesis 3:17) , Christ came by divine decree to accomplish the perfection demanded by the Law (Matthew 5:17) , and redeem Adam's seed, by this we mean that seed that pertained to the woman's, the elect, by faith, from its curse (Galatians 3:13, Titus 2:14) Therefore by this we declare that Christ is the very righteousness of God (John 1...

Kletos Covenantal Ministries

Image
For now we are a very small gathering of believers ministering in an obscure farm location in the boundaries of Bocaue and Pandi, Bulacan under the informal oversight of biblically mature elders and the presbytery. We firmly stand on the authority, sufficiency, and inerrancy of God's word with emphasis on the public proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the observance of Sabbath, Catechism, and daily intentional family worship. If the Lord would will one day, diakoniai will finally be changed to ekklesia , to the glory of God the Father. ĪŗĪ»Ī·Ļ„ĻŒĻ‚ - kletos - the called invited (by God in the proclamation of the gospel) to obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom of God through Christ. Γιαθήκη - diatheke - covenant In Reformed theology, the Pactum Salutis has been defined as a pretemporal, intra-trinitarian agreement between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, in which the Father promises to redeem an elect people. In turn the Son volunteers to earn the salvation of his peo...

Constantino Compound

If I speak in the eloquence of men and tongues of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  And if I have a prophet's power, and have knowledge of all secret things; and if I have all faith, by which mountains may be moved from their place, but have not love, I am nothing. And if I give all my goods to the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it is of no profit to me. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3  Modern Christians tend to cling to works, whether they are aware of it or not. They think that accomplishments in the LORD's name is the measure of faith. But the people who did much for the LORD were the very same ones whom God rejected in the end. Matthew 7.21   You can do all good without loving God. But you cannot love God without doing good to all. You can also claim that the reason for all you do is because you love God. Indeed, Christianity is full of such empty songs and boastings. But loving God prohibits you from choosing w...

Open Doors

Image
The LORD sent us funds to build this small greenhouse in a blank portion of the field beside our house that is wasted and unused space. The goal is to improve the neighborhood, by offering a cheaper food source, and hopefully introduce hydroponic culture to the people. One particular family we have been ministering to can possibly acquire additional income from this. It took us almost two weeks to build on our own (to save labor costs) , and ensure it is sturdy enough to withstand constant heavy downpour. We have yet to see how it holds up against a storm. So far, this is only the beginning of a planned expansion of sorts, to output at the most 500 vegetable heads per week. At least that's what the plan is. But we are still studying the craft. We will also be offering our neighbors free Fire Trees to whoever wants one. I dream of someday walking our roads lined with multi-colored flowering trees. As of late, I have almost 15 fire trees ready to be given away. We also have two  Pala...

Fourth

Image
This is their fourth venture out into the streets as mother and daughter, and especially this time, I was not with them. I rest in God. My little one is still improving on her delivery and speech, but already her voice carries the full weight of God's word. They disposed all the tracts they had, as the people personally came to ask of them, and those whom they gave to, readily received.

Stepping Out

Image
In strong conviction to obey our Father my beloved wife and daughter, and after years of standing behind and beside me in the war for souls, finally put a foot forward towards the public reading of scripture. Determined in spite of the shock to their vocal chords, they finished the whole reading. They were enabled to read the holy scriptures at two locations, both of which was full of people. As what usually occurs in a market place, the vendors got to hear the whole presentation. Somewhat very pleased to imagine putting the honorary sash and crown on my daughter for her firm resolve. May it please the LORD to cement her will in submission to whatever cost there is in following Christ. Nothing out of the ordinary happened during the event, except the greater thing: they willingly obeyed the LORD. That is the triumph for us. I am aware that there are well-meaning preachers who are against women preaching, citing that women are to keep silent - as if we already have enough men p...

Children's Ministry

Image
Despite specifically inviting only a handful of children, a large number of toddlers also came. Such chaos. But the youth teachers showed commendable zeal and determination. May the LORD teach us as a church how to handle this in a way that it bears fruit unto His glory.
