Exhortation For Brethren

Image
An exhortation to undertake the impossible task of understanding the love of God for us, His redemption, and the power that His life gives.    May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward for His suffering.

Back In The Front

Was mercifully enabled by the Spirit to plead this afternoon with the people confined in the recesses of this bleak market in  Santa Maria, Bulacan. As preaching turned to pleading, my heart went out to these precious souls living in hopelessness and darkness, alienated from God, without a Savior. Painful also to realize that other cults, whose main business is to ask the people for money, frequent this area as well. This cruel practice made the people disdain the Gospel even more, and created an impression that all preachers are only after money. We make it a point to remind the people never to give money to anyone preaching on the streets. This always seem to break through their defensive demeanor - when we make it a point to discourage them from giving, it puts us on the same side as they are, and makes them want to listen to what we have to say. It then opens up a door for the Gospel to do its work. The Spirit arrested not a few people with the word. Blank faces staring into n

He shows that God's standard way of relating to mankind is through covenant, which, at its heart, is friendship with God. Casey Carmichael's translation of Cocceius's book is monumental, providing the first English edition of

The Past Weeks

I have scarcely the time to write in my journal now, much less blog at a regular pace. It seems 24 hours is not enough to do all the things that have been laid on my plate this past weeks. Yet I will make an effort to squeeze everything I can into this one post. Work Work is still ongoing. I have been asked to consider extending my services for another 3 months to a prestigious visual effects company working on a much anticipated program showing I believe early this year should all go well. The schedule is quite flexible as I work at home and was provided for by the company with my own machine, which I will return upon completion of the project. The tension starts when other projects come in simultaneously. Presently I am back again to handling one. Which means I can sleep normal again. Languages Study My study in the Greek and Hebrew languages is proceeding quite nicely. I can comfortably ready Koine, and am able to translate small portions of scripture. The focus is on particular cha
