Book Excerpt

This is a short essay from the book I am currently writing, entitled The Free Will of the Old Man & The Free Will of the New Creature. " Sin is more than an act, it is the nature and  disposition of a heart totally inclined towards death. Every manifestation of the man in this state, be it either his wickedness, which is the native language of the man's true self; or his goodness, which is nothing more but an extension of his selfishness, is utterly detestable in the sight of a thrice holy God. It is that which no effort of man can ever hope to alter nor would wish to improve.  If it were conceivable for death to exist in and of itself as a separate state from life, still death cannot choose life. And if we are to assume that it can, it will not do so. "The dead praise not the LORD," Psalm cxv : xvii. Just as Satan cannot and will not choose God, so death in itself cannot and will not choose life. That is not to say, death is due to Satan's presence, but

The Blood of Christ

From my journal entry, July 5, 2018. 4:47A.M. The blood of Christ on the cross was never ordained by God to be optional, but completely salvific; it is not finite, that it dies cheaply with a professing person who lives a life of rebellion, or even slight religion. It is ultimately infinite. It secures every true saint even through death as it victoriously tramples all over the power of the enemy by reason of God's very own promise, that all whose names were written in the Lamb's book of life from before the foundation of the world will believe in his Son, and that they will never perish but enter into everlasting life. In the blood of Christ on the cross, God's word does not return to him a failure, but it has accomplished that which He pleased, and it prospered in the thing for which He sent it. It is to redeem a people unto Himself. Christ will do no such thing as to begin a good work in his saints only to cut them off in the middle because of their imperfections. Th

Matthew 26:21-22

I have again been given a great privilege to speak to the church at Batia, Bulacan and expound more clearly on the events going back to when the prophet Isaiah told of a coming time when the blind will see, the deaf will hear, the lame will leap as a hart, and the mute will sing out for joy when the promised Messiah comes (Isaiah 35:5-6) - leading up to the events that transpired when the Lord Jesus came to fulfill these and more, and how it all eventually led to his death. I did what I can according to the grace measured unto me, (I am not a fluent speaker and I do stammer, I don't know how pastors do it), and there are some major points that I was not able to communicate for lack of time, such as the start of the second phase of the investigation after the event with the man with palsy, and why the Lord began speaking in parables after being accused of invoking Beelzebub in his healing, etc. But the main gist is there. There is an exhortation at the third part for continuance

Plaza Rueda, Manila

I went out without knowing where I would go. I simply boarded a ride going to Gil Puyat, and from there took another ride where I lost about 2 hours getting to this location, but seeing the long line going up to the train and the crowd of commuters was well worth it. I did walk around Pedro Gil for half an hour trying to look for any law enforcer I can ask permission from but there was none present, so I walked to the next station and this is where I ended up. Plaza Rueda at United Nations Avenue, Manila. It had a flower box that would give me good elevation, but I spent another half hour sitting blankly at the corner waiting for a word from the Lord. I was so disappointed with myself. The usual fear and apprehension that comes with each bidding, kept me frozen and ready to leave. The Lord was gracious and he stood me up at the last, and I walked up to take my place before the unmindful crowd. My lapel cracked under pressure. Again. This would be my third speaker casualty. I b
