The March Of The Sodomites :: June 24, 2017 :: Part 2

In the heat of the battle, zeal may prompt us to shake the dust off our heels against the resistance. It is vital to understand and remind ourselves that these people are not the enemy, but the spirit behind them is. The Apostle Paul emphasized this when he wrote to the Ephesians, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

With this warning it is necessary for certain things to be in proper order. First, God does not send his watchmen for the sake of the people; he sends them for HIM. No preacher preaches for the people's sake; he preaches to declare the glory of God for the glory of God, as the results can come only from God.

Second, the preacher cannot condemn anyone, he can only warn them. Condemnation is reserved only for God. It would be a great folly to presumptuously condemn a man who later on God in his sovereignty will save after all. He cannot call people to repentance, he can only invite them to listen. God makes the call. God alone saves.

Unbeknownst to us there were preachers from various small churches who welcomed us at the event, these blessed souls were already regular attendees of these particular menageries. God also graciously provided the necessary security forces to protect us from the revelry, for I have learned that in the previous events, aside from much cursing and profanity, water bottles, condoms, and almost anything were thrown at the preachers. God provided a wall around us, which when I first saw, I did not understand why so many security personnel were standing around us as my family and I held our crosses. Wherever we were, or the other preachers were, there was a wall of security police which separated the team from the agitated crowd. Neither were able to get to the other, but the Word of God was declared with much vigor.

In this event, we were blessed to meet new brethren. We have often prayed for the Lord to send us like-minded Christians who weren't asleep as most churches were. As crude as it may seem, this is the battle in its raw form, without candy coating. The risk of getting hurt was as real as ever. But what soldier ever went to battle expecting anything less? Some of these souls have literally risked life and limb preaching to such crowds, at one point having to jump unto a truck just to escape a mob who beat them after being convicted. Ah, the realities of carrying your own cross just to follow the blessed carpenter. Despite that, we left the event without hurt, and we made sure to personally thank the police as we went.

Due to discretion the video will only show parts of the parade and some scenes of encounter between the celebrants and the other preachers.
