From Kletos Covenantal Ministries to Kletos Koinonia

For now we are a very small gathering of believers ministering in an obscure farm location in the boundaries of Bocaue and Pandi, Bulacan under the informal oversight of biblically mature elders and the presbytery. We firmly stand on the authority, sufficiency, and inerrancy of God's word with emphasis on the public proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the observance of Sabbath, Catechism, and daily intentional family worship. If the Lord would will one day, diakoniai will finally be changed to ekklesia, to the glory of God the Father.

In Reformed theology, the Pactum Salutis has been defined as a pretemporal, intra-trinitarian agreement between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, in which the Father promises to redeem an elect people. In turn the Son volunteers to earn the salvation of his people by becoming incarnate...by acting as surety of the covenant of grace for and as mediator of the covenant of grace to the elect. In his active and passive obedience, Christ fulfills the conditions of the Pactum Salutis...ratifying the Father's promise, because of which the Father rewards the Son's obedience with the salvation of the elect. And because of this the Holy Spirit applies the Son's work to his people, preserving them through the means of grace.

Update

Since opening the matter unto the elders beneath whose accountability we had willingly placed ourselves, they have forbidden us to continue such programs in their former manner. We were told that we must neither pronounce the blessing upon the people nor break bread together; the remaining exercises, however, we might continue. We therefore submitted, and reduced our gathering unto its simplest form: prayer together, the exposition of the Word, and afterward the sharing of a full meal.

Yet herein I have found something which I did not altogether expect. What at first appeared a restriction hath, in mine own estimation, proved rather a benefit. Being stripped of those religious externals which may easily be performed by mere manner and custom, we are left more nakedly with those things wherein the heart itself must seek after God.

We pray together. We open His Word together. We sit at meal together. And I confess, I find the simplicity sweeter. For outward forms may be observed whilst the heart wandereth far away; but when much of the form is taken from us, we are made to inquire more closely whether we have indeed come together seeking God, or only seeking the accustomed appearance of religion.

T he Lord's Day is the most laborious and strenuous day of all the week for me. How differently did I once spend it! Journal Entry. 8th of September, 2023. Morning, 5:34.  The world declares its hatred of God by violence and rebellion. The man of the world saith in his heart, "There is no God . I will live unto myself until I die . Trouble me not, but leave me to my religion in peace." I have at length mustered courage enough to begin writing in my notebook; and now that the first chapter of the book of Genesis is committed unto the page, there is no going back. The undertaking before me is no small one. T his day hath been spent, very early, in much activity, the labor of it having begun even the night before, while the teachers prepare the materials and the food, the prizes and the place, for the children's review of those lessons which they had formerly received. Most of the little company who first began with us, and continued these three years, have now grown older and gone their several ways, leaving their places to be filled by others.
