God Recompenses

We have taken money for our previous rice pack outreach to the families in our small neighborhood out of the downpayment I received working on a small indie project in the states. This project was timely sustenance in our current situation. It was already hard on us to have to maintain medication for my son without having the means to, but we believed that the only way for us to be able to meet our needs was not to think of it but instead to place the furtherance of God's kingdom first in our priorities above our needs, and He will do the rest. (Matthew 6:31-33)

Two days after the outreach, God faithfully moved certain people in the U.S., souls dearly written in my prayer list for more than three years now, to send us help and sustenance. For years now we have always desired to see the hand of God more clearly in our times of great need in spite of our weak faith, and we have learned that seeing the hand of God move far outweigh the value of the help that comes with it. To realize how the Creator of the universe hears our specific prayers and moves people on our behalf without the need to ask anyone for help is truly priceless. Now we have two weeks worth of medicines for my son (help came when we only had a few left), This has also contributed to our children's continuing 'education' in trusting God.

We have this particular mother, a simple but kind soul, that received the means to purchase milk for her two very young daughters. She wrote us back thanking God and praised Him for being kind to them. She is not a believer. But her words of thanksgiving were heavenly. This is what the Lord's work is, that when you do good to your neighbor, they, in turn, praise God for it. The praise goes to its rightful recipient. What did we ever do to receive thanks? Nothing. The joy that comes in giving, and the love returned, is more than enough reward.

Do we do this to gain favor from men? No.
Do we do this to gain favor from God? No.
Why do God's children do this? Because their Father also gave.
Whatever God gives us, we give back to Him.
We can never outgive God.
Luke 6:38  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye extend towards men it shall be measured to you again.
Mathew Henry writes: God in His providence will recompense it to you. Every giving in the name of Christ is lending to the LORD, and He does not forget.
Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.
God often uses men as instruments, not only to avenge wrong but to reward justly. If we in a right manner give to others when they need, God will incline the hearts of others to give to us when we ourselves are in need, and that they should give liberally, good measure pressed down and shaken together. They that sow plentifully shall reap plentifully. Whom God recompenses He recompenses abundantly.
2 Corinthians 9:6-12  The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.”
He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.

Psalms 136
It is he who remembered us in our low estate, for his steadfast love endures forever.
It is he who gives food to all flesh, for his steadfast love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.
The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever
