Public Reading : Romans 1

This reading of Romans 1:18–32, first proclaimed in December 2017 at Muzon, Bulacan, was rendered with the Filipino hearer in mind, paraphrased in some places, that its message might be readily understood and brought near to the conscience. A number of believers, having been encouraged by it, have since asked for a copy that they might read it publicly in their own areas. It is deliberately sharp, yet evangelical in its manner of reading. May it prove useful to those upon whom the LORD hath laid a burden to make His Word known.


Tagalog:
Dahil ang galit ng Diyos ay nahayag na,
mula kalangitan, laban sa lahat ng kasamaan,
at kabaluktutan ng taong binabale-wala ang katotohanan.
Ang mga bagay na hindi nakikita,
mula ng nilikha ng kataas-taasang Diyos,
ang lahat ay napakalinaw niyong nakikita,
pait ang Kaniyang kapangyarihan at kadakilaan.
Kaya wala kayong dahilan para hindi maniwala.
Na kahit alam ninyong may Diyos, 
hindi ninyo Siya kinikilala bilang Panginoon.
Ni hindi kayo tumanaw ng utang na loob,
sa halip ay gumawa kayo ng sarili ninyong diyos.
Ginawa ninyong diyos ang inyong mga sarili.
Nag-imbento kayo ng walang kabuluhan.
Kuntento kayong manatili sa dilim.
At naging mayayabang sa inyong kamang-mangan.
Ginawa ninyong diyos ang maruruming bagay,
imbes na ang Diyos na lumikha.
Ginawa ninyong diyos ang mga sikat na artista,
Ang mga sikat na manglalaro, ang mga sikat na tao.
Ang inyong trabaho, ang inyong pera,
ang inyong mga pag-aari, ang inyong mga anak,
ang inyong mga kinakasama na hindi ninyo asawa,
ang mga rebulto na gawa ninyo, 
at ang inyong pinagkatandaang relihiyon,
na magpasa-hanggang ngayon ay nabubuhay kayo,
ng walang katotohanan, walang takot, at walang pag-asa.
Ginawa ninyong kasinungalingan ang katotohanan ng Diyos.
At sinamba ang nilikha imbes na ang lumikha.
Kaya ipinaubaya kayo ng Panginoon,
sa sarili ninyong karumihan, sa mga kahalayan ninyo sa laman,
at sa kasakiman ng inyong mga puso,
para bastusin ninyo ang inyong mga katawan.
Babae na ang gusto ay kapwa babae,
na hindi natural na gawain ng mga matinong tao.
Ang mga lalaki rin, ayaw sa babae, at sa kapwa lalaki nakikipag-siping.
Walang pakundangan sa kanilang kahalayan.
Karapat-dapat lang nilang tanggapin, 
ang mabigat na hatol na hinanda ng Panginoon para sa kanila.
Ayaw ninyong aminin ang katotohanang may araw,
na tatayo kayo sa harapan ng Diyos upang panagutan ang lahat,
ng inyong ginawa at tinago sa isip,
kaya ngayon pababayaan kayong masira ang inyong mga sarili,
sa baluktot ninyong pagiisip, para gawin ang mga bagay na hindi nararapat.
Napupuno ang buong pagkatao ng karumihan.
Kasamaan. 
Kasakiman.
Kabuktutan.
pag-iisip na puro kabastusan.
Mga inggitero.
Handang pumatay.
Palaaway.
Palamura. 
Mga mandaraya at sinungaling.
Mga tsismoso.
Naninira ng kapwa.
Malalandi.
Mga traidor.
Mayayabang.
Imbentor ng kasamaan.
Bastos sa magulang.
Bastos sa asawa.
Bastos sa gobyerno.
Mga taksil.
Mga walang puso.
At walang patawad. 
Kinakasama ang hindi asawa.
At hindi tumutupad sa mga pangako.
Hindi lang kayo walang pakialam magpatuloy sa ganitong pamumuhay,
kahit alam ninyong kamatayan ang pinangakong kaparusahan ng Diyos,
sa mga gumagawa ng lahat ng ito,
kinakampihan, at pinapalakpakan niyo pa, ang mga rebeldeng gumagawa nito.

Magpakumbaba kayo ngayon sa ilalim ng mga salitang ito.
Dahil ang Panginoon na nangakong babalik,
ay nag-aalay ng kapahingahan at kaligtasan,
mula sa kamatayan na nakaumang sa ating bansa,
at sa bawat ulo ng mga taong naghihimagsik at lumalaban sa Kanyang Kristo.
Handa Siyang palitan ng kabutihan ang kalapastanganang pinapakita ninyo,
sa Kanyang harapan araw-araw na kayo ay humihiram ng hininga ng Diyos,
na nagbibigay ng buhay sa lahat ng tao, mabuti man o masama.

Hindi hangad ng kataas-taasang Panginoon 
na ang sinoman ay mamatay sa impiyerno,
kundi ang lahat ay manumbalik ng may pagaamin at pagsisisi.
Kaya't talikuran ninyo ang relihiyon na sa inyo'y magpapahamak,
at tumakbo sa awa ng Diyos na umaabot sa inyo ngayon.
Sa nag-iisang daan.
Sa nag-iisang pangalan.
Sa nag-iisang katotohanan.
Sa natatanging pinagmumulan ng inyong buhay,
at as nag-iisang paraan na ibinigay sa lahat ng tao,
na nabubuhay sa ilalim ng kalangitan, 
upang tayo ay maligtas.
Sa Panginoong Yeshua.
Ang pinangakong Mesias.
Ang kaisa-isang tagapagligtas.
Ang Kristo ng Diyos.
Kung saan ang lahat ng tuhod ay luluhod, 
at kikilalanin Siya bilang Panginoon ng lahat,
sa kaluwalhatian ng Ama.
Walang ibang kaligtasang kinikilala ang Diyos na lumikha ng lahat,
kundi sa pangalan na Siya mismo ang nagtalaga
na maging higit pa sa lahat ng pangalan,
Ang Kanyang Anak,
Ang Panginoong Hesus,
Ang Kristo na tutuldok at tatapos sa lahat ng Kanyang nilikha.

Dahil ang pinaka nakakatakot na hatol ng Panginoon
ay hindi ang magpadala ng lindol o baha, 
kundi ang pabayaan kayong mamuhay sa inyong kasamaan,
para magising kayo sa impiyerno at hindi kayo maligtas.

Sinabi Niya, AKO ang daan. Hindi Niya sinabing ang nanay ko ang daan.
Ang santo ang daan, ang pagpapakabuti ang daan.
AKO ang daan, at walang makakalapit sa Ama kung hindi sa akin dadaan.
Ang lahat ng magbibigkas sa pangalan ni Kristo ay tumalikod,
mula sa inyong kasakiman at kasalanan.

Nawa kaawaan kayo ng Ama. 
Buksan nawa ng kataas-taasang Diyos
ang inyong pagiisip na makaunawa.


English:
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all unrighteousness,
and wickedness to all those who despise the truth.
All the things that are unseen,
since the Almighty God created everything 
can be clearly seen even his power and glory. 
So you have no excuse not to believe, 
That even though you know there is a God, 
you do not acknowledge him as Lord.
You did not even show gratitude 
but instead you made up your own gods. 
You made yourselves to be your own god. 
You made up for yourselves vain things. 
Contented to remain in darkness. 
And became arrogant in your own stupidity. 
You made gods out of unclean things 
instead of the God who created everything 
You made gods out of famous actors. 
Famous sports figures. 
Famous people. 
Your own jobs. 
Your money. 
All your material belongings. 
Your children. 
Your partners who are not married to you. 
The statues you have made 
And the religion you grew up in 
that even now you live without truth 
no fear of God, and no hope.
You have turned the truth of God into a lie
and worshiped the creation rather than the Creator. 
So now the Lord has handed you over to your own filthiness. 
To your own perversions in the flesh.
And to the selfishness of your own hearts. 
To shamefully destroy your own bodies. 
Women sexually attracted to women 
which is not the normal function of a rational human being. 
And even the men despising the women 
choosing to have sex with men 
without any remorse for their filthiness. 
It is only right that they receive a most grievous sentence
prepared by the Lord for them. 
You deliberately deny the truth 
that there is a day that you will stand before God 
to give an account for everything that you did 
and hid in your thoughts. 
So now you will be allowed to destroy yourselves 
in the vileness of your minds 
to do those things which are not normal.
Whose person is full of filth. 
Wickedness 
Selfishness 
Depravity 
Thoughts of continuous perversion 
Full of jealousy 
Ready to kill 
Brawlers 
Full of cursing. 
Thieves and liars. 
Gossipers. 
False accusers. 
Promiscuous. 
Traitors. 
Proud and boastful. 
Inventors of evil things. 
Rebellious to parents.
 Wife abusers. 
Rebellious to government. 
Treacherous. 
Without compassion. 
Without mercy. 
Having partners outside of marriage. 
Covenant breakers. 
Not only do you not care to continue living wickedly 
even if you know that the Lord promised death 
as penalty to those who do these things, 
you even encourage and applaud these rebels who do this. 
Humble yourselves now and heed these warnings, 
because the Lord who promised to return 
is now offering you reprieve and salvation 
from the death that is hanging over our nation, 
and over every head of every person 
who defies and goes against his Christ. 
He is willing and able to grant mercy and kindness 
to your arrogant insolence before him 
day by day that you borrow breath from God 
who gives life to all men. Be he good or evil. 
The Lord God almighty is not willing
that any one should perish in hell
but that all should turn back with admission and repentance
so turn back from your religion that will do nothing but destroy you
and run instead to the mercy of God
who is reaching out to you right now
towards that One Way that One Name that One Truth
To that only Source that gives you life
that one escape that is given to all men
who has ever lived under the whole of heaven
whereby we must be saved
The Lord Jesus Christ
the promised Messiah
the only Savior
the Christ of God
to whom all knee will bow and all will acknowledge him
that He is Lord of all to the glory of the Father
There is no other salvation recognized by God,
who created all except that name
that He himself established to be the name above every other name
His Son the Lord Jesus the Christ who will put an end to all of his creation.
Because the most terrifying of all judgments of the Lord
is not in sending earthquakes or flood
but that you are left to live wickedly as you please
so you will end up in hell and not be saved.
He said, I am the Way He did not say my mother is the way
nor dead saints are the way nor doing good is the way
I AM THE WAY and no one can come to the Father
without coming through Me.
Let all who claim the name of Christ
turn back from your own selfishness and your sins.
May the Father grant you mercy.
May the almighty God open your minds that you might understand

Deliver those being taken away to death, and hold back those slipping to the slaughter. If you say, “But we did not know about this,” does not the one who evaluates hearts consider? The Lamb's Book of Life, And The Eternal Will Of God For The Security Of Those Who Have Been Graciously Called To Come & Believe

A study on my readings, on John 1:13, Ephesians 1:4, Revelation 13:8, 17:8 and 21:27.  From eternity past, even before the beginning of the beginning, the Lamb wrote a book.    In this book were special names. Names He had elected, in His gracious sovereignty, to be His very own people. His divine, covenantal will, was to bless them with the continual light of His presence, and to bring them to Himself, there to dwell before Him in blissful glory, for all eternity. Dinner Guest

My wife and I were waiting at our table as our dinner was about to be served when I noticed a young lad of about 19 years approach the table beside us and asked the gentleman sitting if he could spare a few minutes to talk to him. It didn't come as a surprise when he was waved away, this rejection coming across as something all too familiar already as I myself have learned since endeavoring to talk with people of differing personalities. I've had numerous instances also in the past where people such as this youth would approach me specially when I am at a meal, either to ask for money, sell me small items, or even delicacies, to raise funds for one reason or another. I also have always consistently declined them, aware of such schemes, but more often than not I simply did not want to give money, but this time thoughts suddenly ran through my mind that clearly told me, "talk to him."  A journal entry, one early morning of October in silent communion. 2AM God loves you. It takes faith to believe this. It is a phrase proud people have no problem affirming. But for the truly repentant, it is often one of the hardest, if not, almost impossible truths to believe. The more he sees God's mercy in the pool of blood collecting underneath the cross of Christ, the more he sees his daily failures and repeated offenses. The more he lifts up his voice to God, the fewer answers seem to come. The darker he sees his true self, the harder he finds to believe God can indeed forgive him. The more he strives to be perfect, the more easily he falls. Weakness is such a blessed place where God often takes His children for a time of silent communion. Kenneth is around 15 years of age. He did not look anything like the typical street dweller we commonly see because he was even healthier than my children by appearance. But he was obviously hungry. The guard was not at his post when he entered the establishment we were in. This was just a chance meal we thought of having after distributing bibles and tracts at a busy market near the university belt in Manila, but some of our best divine appointments come about suddenly and without warning. Kenneth went from table to table, asking everyone eating for money, to buy food. He was waved off every time. When he came to us at last, we asked him to sit with us and told him we cannot give him money, but we can buy him food instead.
