Thursday Afternoon At Marilao

The Philippines has its own number of preachers, but only a handful hold fast to pure biblical doctrine. Most are humanistic and man-centered, either leaning heavily on sin without grace, or grace without the law. Public proclamation is frowned upon even in, most especially with, established Christian churches for fear of its repercussions, and the crude method or "cheapness" it seemingly displays. It is one thing when the unregenerate reject public preaching, and totally another thing when professing Christians resist it altogether. One church I have been told stopped their public outreach because "it doesn't help" and "nothing happens", so they crossed it out of their been-there-done-that list. What a sad and twisted view of this sacred call.

But as for me, God has finally answered my prayers to send me brethren of sound doctrine. May the LORD be pleased to have us all grounded in His truth till He comes.
