Come Evening

We elected to commence public ministry today come evening when based on previous labors, the crowd is thicker at this time. But the clouds also came in dark and brooding. So after making the rounds and talking with some people who received our tracts we proceeded to borrow the stand on a closed rice store. This is Rendelle and Jonathan's first public outreach and they were more than excited to take part; coming in early to our house and talk about what to expect, and how to approach people. These young lambs have a child-like stand on the LORD. Being prepared earlier in life for our meeting, they have had experiences with modern Christendom, but in God's mercy have been placed in the right road of biblical doctrine and practical Christianity.

Our tracts flew off our hands in no time due to the great number of souls who welcomed our gifts. I only had one decline my offer, and it was a well-off woman. It was no surprise to me that only the simple ones do accept tracts. Even Muslims accept them. God is no respecter of persons.

After half an hour into the message the heavy rain came, and it was perfectly used as an illustration to the misguided fear of the listeners - who fear getting wet more than losing their souls. The gospel thundered despite the noisome chaos of the rain pouring and people clamoring for shelter.

We needed to take our shoes off to cross the flooded road, and make it to the end of the street corner where we tried taking the trike to Waltermart and there have our dinner. It was an very good experience for our two young adults who resolved to make it a regular practice, greatly encouraged for the sake of the kingdom.
