Review Day
God's faithfulness bears fruit. To be so privileged as to serve our King and Lord by teaching these young minds about the excellencies of Christ is incredibly humbling. In May of 2023, the Lord's work began with just eight students; today, there are now twenty one. In the months that passed, some have left or were taken by their parents to attend conventional Roman Catholic mass, yet more still came. When we first arrived here, we prayed that Father would open doors for us to share the gospel with the families living in this compound. In His wisdom, God sent us the children in answer to our petition. By reaching two generations rather than just one, they will be the ones to deliver the gospel to their homes and save us valuable time. Their families may not listen to us, but they will surely listen to their children.

Since then they have taken up a study of the covenants, and the attributes of God, which the teachers simplified in easy-to-understand format geared towards the children. An emphasis on the Decalogue, God as its author, the reason for receiving it, and the need to obey to it. Memorization of Scripture, and an in-depth study of the catechism is part of the curriculum. The teachers decided to start with the book of Matthew in its bible study, and work their way through chapter by chapter till they reach Revelation. Every 10 or 12 topics in the book, which usually take three months, ends in a review using Kahoot, making it really fun and intensely engaging for the children.
It pleased the LORD to grace the teachers, who freely give their time and resources, with a burden for the salvation of these precious souls, and the wisdom to communicate the truths of Scripture faithfully to them. Preparing the lessons is no meager task, but is still little if weighed against the accountability that comes with handling the human soul. It is always amazing to hear the little ones answer simple questions in a deep and profound way. Their understanding of the lessons is such that we can't help but praise God for His grace.

The whole gathering prays for them daily in family worship, in our weekly prayer meetings, and in our monthly fasting and prayer. We are pleading with the LORD that He would move the parents to continue allowing their children to study with us. The eldest of the students who was with us in the beginning, now joins us in regular Sunday worship. One fruit from the LORD among many more He is raising.

We receive no help from outside, and rely exclusively on God to provide for the work, making our needs known only to Him. He never fails to send in the answers and provisions. This is His work. We are merely grateful stewards.
