2nd Chapter
The youth were already waiting for us as we made our way to our beautiful place in the fields. Walking a good distance to gather with God's children once again refreshed me. This is our 30th humble fellowship, and the 6th on our extensive study on the letter to the Hebrews.
I have never read the book of Hebrews under such light before. It excites me to think the Spirit has more to teach us in the days ahead as we burn through each word of each verse. What better way to enjoy learning about Christ's wonders under the grace of God than outside the confines of common and plastered walls?
The classes have once again resumed last February. Last year God allotted unto us six days out of seven to study His word in a classroom format. But health issues arose for me, prompting me to rest, and find a manageable pace at two meetings a week. But then God has sent us three more precious souls to care for: two young sisters from the South, and one brother from our neighborhood. And so we deemed it proper to open a special foundational class for them during Saturdays, rather than simply include them in the ongoing classes and assume they can catch on. The word advices us to rightly divide it, but great care must also be taken not to spread ourselves too thin. As of the moment there is a fourth soul who seriously inquired about the gospel, and has joined us for the third Sunday already. We will see how the LORD leads us with this one.
It pleased the LORD to enlarge our need for greater wisdom, and take us to deeper and uncharted waters, but with the Spirit in our sails and Christ's promises as our north star, we rest assuredly that we shall reach the shores of His rest.
