Worship
The very worship of God hath now become the single, fervent, and ultimate purpose of this small body of believers. Every other facet of our ministry doth stem from and flow back into this very profound yearning. Since our commencement months ago, every passing night hath been a sweet and solemn remembrance of God’s unfailing goodness and His unshakeable faithfulness, which is indeed worthy of our poor, meager praise. I confess that I, for one, have benefited greatly from this gracious spiritual gift. It is a profound privilege to share this delight of communion with our beloved brethren and sisters . We do pray earnestly that the hearts of the dear children shall likewise receive this same, unspeakable blessing.
Within the church of Christ, the mutual ministry of gifts moves constantly to the pulse-beat of the life of the Spirit. The body grows through the organic interdependence of each part. From the one Head, Christ, all the body “fitly framed and knit together through that which every joint supplieth, according to the working in due measure of each several part,” builds itself up in love (Eph. 4:16). That means that you cannot grow without ministering to others and receiving the ministry of others.
